Hannah + Tom | Engaged!

This sweet couple was so wonderful to work with. An incredibly beautiful fall day, paired with two very photogenic and laid-back people makes for an unforgettable session. Hannah & Tom – thanks for a wonderful evening…can’t wait for July!! :)

Jenna + Steve | Married!

I had been looking forward to this wedding all year. ALL year! And then, two days before the wedding, I broke my wrist. Photographer’s. Worst. Nightmare. Of course, it could have been MUCH worse, but at the time I was very worried.

But Friends, the Richmond wedding community is absolutely incredible. I called several photographer friends, as well as other wedding vendor friends, and before I even finished getting my late night Patient First X-Rays, the RVA wedding community had come together to support me in my time of need. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to everyone who sent out emails, texts, FB messages, and MORE to help me come through this with grace. I cannot thank you enough. I was fortunate enough to already have a plan of action ready to roll by the time I let my sweet bride, Jenna, know about my injury the following morning.

The experience was stressful and nerve-wracking (and a little bit painful!), but ultimately, the challenge left me a better photographer, a better business person, and made me incredibly proud to be a wedding photographer in Richmond, VA. We are a family and we all have the same goal – to ensure that our couples receive the very best. No matter what. The only way that will ever happen is if everyone works together and supports one another, and I am a prime example of how great Richmond is at just that.

A huge thank you is in order to Jess of Jessica Maida Photography, who so willingly changed her Saturday plans at the last moment to help me (thankyouthankyouthankyou!). I also couldn’t have done this without my amazing husband, Ruben. You two were INCREDIBLE and I couldn’t have done this without you.

Another huge thank you goes out to Jenna and Steve. I can’t tell you guys how much it meant for you to put your full faith in me and to trust me to deliver an amazing wedding day experience, as well as gorgeous photos despite the unfortunate circumstances. Every moment spent with you two was laid-back, comfortable, and full of laughter. I am so grateful to have been lucky enough to spend your wedding day with you, and I hope you enjoy reliving the day through these photos. Congratulations you two!!

Kara + Kevin | Married!

Kara and Kevin got married at the beginning of August and it was AMAZING! Aside from getting to spend the day with Kara (who was my Big Sister during my brief time as a Delta Gamma sister at Virginia Tech – Go Hokies!!!), I was surrounded by so many amazing people. I’ve secretly adopted myself into both Kara and Kevin’s families – they don’t know that yet, but hopefully they won’t mind too much. :)

I could go on forever about how much I loved every little detail of this wedding, but I’m pretty sure Kara and Kevin are ready to see the photos!!!

Congratulations you two and thank you for allowing me to be such a big part of your day! I love you both so much!!
